Dr. Bill Henard elected Kentucky Baptist Convention President

The pastor of a large Lexington church was elected unopposed as president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention today in the latest sign of the convention following the conservative shift of its national affiliate, the Southern Baptist Convention.

  1. Wow…that’s a huge change. I remember back in my days at Southern where some groups would try to round up Seminary students to attend the convention in hopes of tilting the vote to the conservative candidate; and it was always a win one way or the other by the slimmest of margins.
    The changes at SBTS that have been made since Dr. Mohler came on the scene has probably had a lot to do with this shift.

  2. Right on with Ron Paul. We have seen candidates suck in good Christians with their lip service of being against abortion and bible thumping and then do acts contrary to the Christian ideals such as the attack on Iraq and interferrng with the sovereignty of other countries. The constitution should be followed and Ron Paul would be the choice of our founding fathers.
